If you fly from the US, you’d likely first fly into Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, or a major hub. Then you will likely take a regional/shorter flight from there.
If you fly into Paris or another major French city, there will be train connections to La Rochelle and Bordeaux if you would rather take a high-speed train than a flight. They may take longer, but they run more frequently. From either of these destinations, you could then get a regional train to Saintes.
Another option is to hire a taxi directly from the airport. Please ensure you use a certified, veritable taxi company and ensure their fares are transparent. Uber or Lyft may be another option. If in doubt, please check signs at the airport or locate an official airport help desk – avoid asking other travellers or taxi companies as they may try to scam you.
There are train connections from La Rochelle and Bordeaux to a village called Saintes, which is about 15 minutes away from the venue. Renting a car is also an option. We are planning on picking quite a few people up from the train station in Saintes, so please let us know if you require a lift. We’re happy to come collect you from the station whenever you arrive.
If you are not staying at the venue, there are two hotels within a 10 minute taxi ride of the venue:
In addition, there are many Airbnbs and hotels in Saintes, which is a 15 minute drive from the venue. Please let us know if you need assistance booking accommodation.
